Less than four months
It’s Fall, and before I know it the end of the year is here. I do not know about you, but I have not accomplished all my goals for the year.
More than a few individuals I know are looking for a career change. I can not tell you the amount of people I have ran across that said, ” I hate this job” But what about the others that actually like their work, but feel it is time to move on. “You are never stuck in one place” Learn some new skills or start a company, so that you can get your DREAM CAREER.
Having something that you are excited about makes you fly out of bed every single morning! Of course there will be some down days , here and there.
(Even a dream job will have its hangups,through)http://mirrorme.me/how-to-be-an-entrepreneur-without-quitting-your-day-job/.
During an interview there are certain things to look for. So for my next merry go round, I will make a better informed decision even without a crystal ball.
If you have any tips please share. Here are some of mines.
- Look up the company some more. Look at employees reviews. At the very least check out the Department of Labor on them.
- On the interview, ask if you walk around the place. I believe in energy, and can get a feel for this. (Mainly) Observe how your future co-workers are. Look at body-language.
- This should have been number 1, but works as number 3. Use your job vacation day (or two) to try out the new position. This works if you know that you are not going to give a two week notice.
- Once offered the job, try to ask for the employee handbook. That has a lot of information that will be useful to you, farther than the line. Trust me, I found out the hard way one time. I was in a huge shock reading that employee handbook after I had called myself making a better decision.
